Somewhere, a signal is traveling.

You don't know where Faraway Radio broadcasts from. Neither do we, most days. Maybe it's a room with one lamp and too much silence. Maybe it's further than that — some frequency drifting past the last visible star, bouncing off nothing in particular, just because it can.

This isn't a station in the way you think of stations. There's no studio with glass walls and a red ON AIR sign. There's just someone — could be you, could be us, doesn't matter much — turning a dial in the dark, looking for a voice that sounds like it's been somewhere.

And it has. We've been somewhere.

We play music because music is what you send out when you don't know if anyone's listening yet, but you send it anyway. We tell stories because some nights the silence gets too loud and a story is the only thing that fits in the space where silence used to be. Heists that never happened. Histories that almost did. Voices doing accents they don't own, in rooms that don't exist, for listeners we'll never meet and somehow already know.

If you're here, you probably found us by accident. Or maybe not — maybe you were looking for exactly this, a place that doesn't try too hard to make sense. We don't organize our shows by genre. We organize them by distance. How far the sound had to travel to reach you. How far you had to travel, inside yourself, to be someone who'd click on a station called Faraway.

There's a version of you, somewhere, who's tired of algorithms deciding what you feel next. That version of you is welcome here. We won't tell you what to like. We'll just play the thing, and tell the story, and let the static in between do whatever static does — which is remind you that you're listening to something real, sent from somewhere real, even if neither of us can point to it on a map.

So — pull up a chair that may or may not exist. Turn the volume up past the point where it makes sense. Somewhere between the crown jewel and the third season and the song you didn't know you needed, you'll find us.
